1940s Magazine Animation | After Effects Process Breakdown

This is a process breakdown video for creating a 10 second looping animation, inspired by mid-century graphic design for a motion collaboration. Although I discuss some techniques, this isn’t a step-by-step tutorial. See the full workflow breakdown in the linked videos below. In this video, I dive into the creative process, collaborating on motion design projects, and managing tight deadlines. Pro tip: don’t wait until the last minute! I used Irving Harper’s magazine cover artwork as inspiration for the animation, which had a 4x5 aspect ratio. All the animation was done in After Effects, with some basic asset creation and model separation using Blender.
