Pigtronix Philosopher King

The Pigtronix Philosopher King is a sustainer, compressor, distortion, and polyphonic amplitude synthesizer. Wow. That’s why it is called the KING. The Pigtronix Philosopher King takes the same compression and sustainer circuits and build from the Philosopher’s Tone and adds a full set of the ADSR controls. The ADSR controls include swell, fade, hold level, speed range, one-shot modes, selectable auto reset, CV i/o, and the ability to add an expression pedal for swell and fade times. This does a lot, folks. Of course, you get all the sweet optical compression of the original Philosopher’s Tone -- from subtle and clean to the ability to dial in howling sustained lines. The swell function is truly fantastic, and easy to apply or disengage -- it is a pick triggered volume swell and will reset itself when you mute the instrument.
