Bored of hand stretches? (pt. 1) Well then, try this warm-up for relaxing those hand muscles while also improving finger dexterity. Begin by holding two Asian “baoding balls” (you can substitute pool balls or golf balls) comfortably in one hand. Swirl them in a clockwise direction. Maintain a smooth, steady pace and avoid clacking or banging them together. Now, switch to a counterclockwise direction with the same smoothness and connection. When you’ve mastered these two primary movements, try swirling the two balls in a clockwise direction but without letting them touch each other. And finally, reverse the direction and swirl them in a counterclockwise motion, again without letting them touch each other. Now, switch hands. I often do this exercise while sitting at a computer, or while driving my car. Note: do not do this while driving your car. #handstretch #baoding #fitness
