Originally heard on the band’s fourth studio album “Splendor in the Grass“ (in two different versions), the song was recently featured in the second season of the HBO hit show “The White Lotus.“ “Ninna nanna“ is a song about a sleeping sailor, and the mermaid who loves him, and the arrangement by Thomas Lauderdale takes melodic inspiration from “Swedish Rhapsody #1 (Midsommarvaka)“ by Hugo Alfvén. This performance features lead singer China Forbes, with Dan Faehnle on guitar, Nicholas Crosa on violin, and bandleader Thomas Lauderdale on piano.
