DIY Solar, 11 Solar Panels and 8 Batteries

The peak sun hours puts a lot of electricity into the batteries. One of the batteries leaks if I get more than 14.5 volts. I will add another battery to the off grid battery bank soon. I had two and a half weeks of heavy clouds and lots of rain. I wasn’t getting the results that I was looking for so I just added another solar panel and another solar panel. When I finally got a day of full sun then I got too much sun and had to add another battery to the battery bank. I have 22 solar panels all together. For the last 8 years I have been running the solar panels grid tied, meaning that the solar panels are connected to the grid tie inverter. The grid tie inverter plugs into the outlet.
