Антимигрантски протест / Anti-migrants protest

“Migrants out of Bulgaria“ protest was held in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. With demand the police to control the migrant problem. Activists gathered near the Ministry of Internal Affairs and from there started a procession that went around the central streets of Sofia to reach the Council of Ministers and the Parliament building. The organizers announced the event as non-partisan. Party flags were banned and only the Bulgarian flag was flown. In recent days, the police presence has been increased in the center of Sofia, where groups of migrants are known to gather, as well as at the largest refugee center in the capital, which is of an open type - i.e. migrants have the right to walk around the city, but not to cross into another city. Because of its low standard, Bulgaria has not been an attractive place for migrants who use its territory to reach Western Europe - mainly Germany and the Netherlands. According to the participants in the protest in Sofia, this problem is deepening in the poorest country of the EU, which requires immediate measures from the government.
