Russia Alleges “Direct Ukraine Role”, Blames West For Dagestan Airport Storming Over Israel Flight

Russia said Ukraine had played a “direct and key role“ in the storming of Makhachkala airport in the Dagestan region. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova referred to online resources linked to former Russian lawmaker Ilya Ponomaryov, who is based in Ukraine. Ponomaryov said on Monday that he used to be an investor in the Utro Dagestan Telegram channel, which called for protests at the airport on October 29, but no longer had any connection to it. Zakharova also said the “promptness“ and “content“ of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s reaction to the riot “are direct evidence of the information-sabotage being carried out by Kyiv’s special forces.“ The Kremlin said earlier the riot was the result of “external interference“ and that President Vladimir Putin had convened a security meeting to discuss “Western attempts to divide Russian society.“ Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak told Reuters that Kyiv had “nothing to do“ with the unrest. A mob was seen entering the air terminal of the Makhachkala airport and then storming various rooms inside. Protesters chanting “Allahu Akbar” broke through doors and barriers, and some were seen running onto the runway waving Palestinian flags. Meanwhile, another group was seen trying to topple over a patrol truck. The unrest was caused by the “arrival of a regular flight from Tel Aviv”, Russian state media reported. #russiaairport #israelpalestince #worldnews 0:00 - INTRODUCTION 1:38 - CURRENT SITUATION IN MAKHACHKALA AIRPORT 2:33 - THE WORLD REACTS TO THE INCIDENT 3:36 - FOREIGN “ATTEMPTS TO DESTABILISE THE SITUATION” n18oc_world n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
