hypnoskull (live Paris, anti/techno set) at PROTOCOL CLUB.

registration of an anarchic and rough anti/techno setup for hypnoskull’s live at the parisian techno club PROTOCOL, avenue du general leclerc 100, 93500 pantin/paris on friday 4th of october 2019 between 4am and 5am. the ultra limited setup consists of 2 interfering drummachines and a live-sampler and one microphone only - a reconstructed setup of the lives done inbetween 1996 and 1998. all music is new/unique as there are no ’tracks’ played but 50% combinations of sequences and drumpatterns with sheer improvisation. the club was projected 360° with hypnoskull logo’s, messages and slogans, dead heroes and footage of disturbing times full of change - resulting in a few discussions with young people about politics in music afterwards. the setup and approach generates a large risk, compared to what is the standard in even underground techno scenes: going straightforward to give the audience exactly what they want and expect.
