Chaotic Scene Unfolds After Car Collision in San Diego | Intoxicated Women Arrested

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 6-10-23 9:55 pm LOCATION: 16th St & Palm Ave CITY: San Diego DETAILS: The male driver of the SUV had the “green” light as he was heading westbound on Palm Ave. The male driver of the BMW turned in front of the SUV as the BMW was eastbound on Palm Ave and turning left on 16th St. the two drivers collided, and the BMW driver got out and immediately ran southbound on 16th St. When officers arrived, they found a male rummaging through the BMW, and he ran away when he saw the officers approach. The officer chased and caught this male. Two intoxicated teenage females got upset and started to interfere with the officers. The officers ordered the girls to back off, and when the girls became more aggressive, the officers started to detain them, and all hell broke loose. The girls were finally taken into custody. Then, two female cop watchers arrived and started to harass the officers demanding information and accusing the officers of different things. The male driver of the SU was not injured. A female passenger from the BMW was transported with unknown injuries to a local hospital. The male that was detained was a friend of the driver and not involved in the crash and was released.
