Hey Guys, Tested: The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Gets Much More Attractive With attractive proportions, an improved and larger interior, and more CVTs, Nissan’s three-row SUV is now an above-average player in its segment. Today’s family three-row haulers can be thought of as either SUV cosplay minivans or the other way around, but the outgoing Nissan Pathfinder was the worst of both worlds. Its odd proportions made it look about as unappealing as a minivan, but its small third-row seat characterized the compromised layouts of midsize SUVs. The new, fifth-gen Pathfinder 2022 corrects these flaws and is a much more attractive option in this segment, although it doesn’t quite reach the heights of our favorite, the Kia Telluride 10 Best. Longer, wider and taller than before, but riding on the same wheelbase, the new Pathfinder looks more trucker, with a blunt front end and square greenhouse.
