Converting An Apple Imac Into A Monitor - An Enjoyable Build!

I had an old broken 2011 27“ iMac (A1312) kicking around with a good screen it just needed some work to bring it back to life. I could not bring myself to dispose of this wonderful piece of kit. So after a little research a project was born. I have converted this in to my new studio display for filming these videos and I could not be happier with the end result. To repair this your going to need a decient torx set containing T8/T9 & T10 bits (Mainly T10), in terms of tools thats about it. Parts wise you will need a HDMI/VGA controller board but please check its correct for your monitor as described in the video.
