Snare Drum Comparison

This movie compares a number of different types of snares drums. I hope this gives you insight into the effect that different shell materials can have on the sound of a drum. All the drums were tuned with a fairly tight tuning. The micophone used was an Audix i5. No EQ or processing was applied to the sound.
