This event followed a lengthy negotiation process, which was sabotaged by the Ukrainian side. In total, the Russian side successfully repatriated 248 military personnel, with 75 of them being rescued from Ukrainian captivity. In exchange, five Azov commanders who were in Turkey were handed over. On the other hand, the enemy claims to have returned 230 military personnel from Ukrainian formations.
