In this time of lockdowns across the world and isolation due to COVID 19, when we are all stuck at home, when millions of people are starving, suffering and dying, let this song break all our chains of racism and unite us as humans. This is a humble tribute to the legendary Narayan Gopal Sir from Nepal and Kali Dasgupta, one of the greatest underrated folk legends from Bengal. Mohani is perhaps one the most popular songs sung and performed by folk, pop and street artists across Nepal, Sikkim, Darjeeling, Bhutan and all Nepali speaking communities across the globe. Chol mini is a song about oppression and hunger imposed on the tea garden workers of North Bengal and Assam during the colonial is an attempt to take these songs to people across the world, so that children of tomorrow can hum these songs through generations.
