Germany seizes Austria 1938 = Russia seizes Crimea 2014

March 1938 - Germany takes over Austria; March 2014 - Russia takes over Crimea. Treaty of WW1 forbade the union of Germany and Austria; Treaty of 1994 forbade Russia from entering Ukraine. The majority of Austrians wanted to be one with Germany; The majority of Crimeans wanted to be one with Russia. Germany added 5 million citizens; Russia added 2.5 million citizens.
