Police Squad. From a Short-Lived TV show To a Hit Movie. (re-upload)

#TheNakedGun #NakedGun #PoliceSquad Version 1.1 * Stam Fine looks at a TV show cancelled after only a few episodes yet became a comedy legend after it got a second chance as a movie. Police Squad follows the investigations of Frank Drebin, a moron in a world of morons. Cancelled after only a few episodes aired in 1982, the show’s creators, Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams and David Zucker (Airplane, Top Secret), kept the faith long enough to get the series remounted as a feature film, The Naked Gun. The series stars Leslie Nielsen and Alan North, while George Kennedy joined the film series. Apparently footage from PG-13 movies can show up as 18 for some reason. Oh well. The narration is identical between both versions and only 2 or 3 clips have been changed The original version can be found here for people logged into a Youtube account: I also took the opportunity to fix the spelling of Leslie Nielsen’s caption. The pronunciation of the Zucker brothers’ name is as close as I can get to how they introduce themselves on their DVD commentary tracks. They don’t pronounce their own name to rhyme with ’sucker.’
