Kuhl Racing’s - Chrome GTR on Savini Concave Step Lips

Recorded on Atomos Shogun 4K with Sony a7s and Canon L Glass This is Kuhl Racing’s Chrome Painted GTR that won Best of Show at Tokyo Auto Salon 2015. The 3D Paint was done by Takahiko Izawa of Artis. I was told that the car is first sprayed with 15 layers of their etching paint. Each line was then hand carved into the body with a final coat of the chrome on top. The entire process took a team of 4 people working every day for 3 months strait. I was able to get a hold of this car when shooting it during SE
