Vermont shooting: Biden “horrified“ after 3 students of Palestinian descent shot, White House says

U.S. President Joe Biden was “horrified“ by the weekend shooting of three college students of Palestinian descent in Burlington, Vt., the White House said on Monday. “They should be back in school with their classmates, not in a hospital room,” White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said. “There is absolutely, absolutely no place for violence or hate in America.“ The suspect, Jason J. Eaton, 48, pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted second-degree murder on Monday and was ordered by a judge to be held without bond. From the county jail where he has been held since his arrest on Sunday, Eaton appeared remotely at an arraignment at the Chittenden County Criminal Court. In a press conference with the family members of the shooting victims, Chittenden County state attorney Sarah Fair George said that “Although we do not yet have evidence to support a hate crime enhancement, I do want to be clear that there is no question that this was a hateful act.“ For more info, please go to Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: Like Global News on Facebook HERE: Follow Global News on Twitter HERE: Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: #GlobalNews #Vermont #Biden
