POLONIA (Movement no. 3) Music based on and inspired by Andrzej Panufnik’s Sinfonia Sacra (Symphony No. 3), lyrics based on and inspired by General Wojciech Jaruzelski’s proclamation of martial law in Poland, December 13th 1981. Recomposed and arranged by Luka Jamnik Orchestrations & additional arrangements by Álvaro Domínguez Vázquez Performed by Laibach with Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir Gloria at the Kody Festival at Centrum Spotkania Kultur in Lublin, Poland, May 12th, and at the Ljubljana Festival in Križanke, Ljubljana, September 9th, 2018. Conducted by Filip Rathé This work was commissioned by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of “Polska 100“ international cultural programme accompanying celebrations of 100 years of Poland’s independence.
