National Anthem of Czechia: Kde domov můj

(Turn on Youtube subtitles for English subtitles) “Kde domov můj“ is the national anthem of the Czech Republic. The piece was written as a part of the incidental music to the comedy Fidlovačka aneb Žádný hněv a žádná rvačka (Fidlovačka, or No Anger and No Brawl). It was first performed by Karel Strakatý at the Estates Theatre in Prague on 21 December 1834. The anthem is composed by the composer František Škroup and the lyrics are written by playwright Josef Kajetán Tyl. This version was performed by the Moravia Brass Band. FRANÇAIS : Kde domov můj? (Où est ma patrie?) est l’hymne national de la Tchéquie depuis la séparation de la Tchécoslovaquie en 1993.
