Cricket Match (1940-1949)

Title missing. Mainly blurred and out of focus shots of unidentified cricket match. N.B. Item found in Unidentified Gazettes reel. A Pathe viewer has suggested the following: This looks like another Gentlemen v Players match We see the Amatuer Gentlemen take the field together followed by the opening batsmen for the Players XI who are Jack Hobbs with the cap and the bareheaded Herbert Sutcliffe. We see footage of the two batting. Then we see the Gentlemen batsmen walk to the wicket passing Frank Woolley preparing to bowl and then bowling one delivery. You quote Issue Date: 1940 - 1949. However, given the participants, I would say that this is footage from the 1920s. A glance at the clothing worn by the crowd would support this view. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
