Visiting Ella’s Pink Lady at Queensland Maritime Museum May 2012

16 year old Jessica Watson spent 210 days on board “Ella’s Pink Lady,” a Sparkman and Stephens 34, as she sailed solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world, completing her voyage in Sydney, Australia on 15 May, 2010. Thank you Queensland Maritime Museum in Brisbane for taking such good care of Ella’s Pink Lady. I felt privileged to be able to visit EPL in May 2012 with 14 of my friends from Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada who are just a few of Jessica’s most dedicated supporters. At the start of this video, our friend and amateur radio operator, Clint, talks during our drive to the museum about some of Jessica’s HF radio position reports to Tascoast radio that he heard early in her voyage.
