Pink Floyd cover by Viking Cowboy from 1979 and Album: The Wall
We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave those kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave those kids alone
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
“Wrong, do it again!“
“If you don’t eat yer meat, you can’t have any pudding
How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?“
“You! Yes, you behind the bike sheds, stand still laddy!“

Roger Waters wrote this song to express his views on formal education, particularly when he attended the Cambridgeshire School for Boys, where teacher—it seemed to him—tried to keep pupils quiet than to teach them.
Roger Waters said about this song to Mojo magazine in 2009, “The song is meant to be a rebellion against errant government, against people who have power over you, who are wrong. Then it absolutely demanded that you rebel against that.“
The chorus used in this song was made up of 23 kids from the school in Islington, England, that was close to the studio.
