The Sound of Silence was originally released as “The Sounds of Silence“ in 1964 by Simon and Garfunkel, and Toni and I have been planning to do this one for literally years now. I’m glad I finally got to realize my dream of becoming Art Garfunkel, at least for a moment. Also, I had never heard Disturbed’s version of this song until looking it up in preparation for this video, and astoundingly, it seems more people know that version than the original! They’re both worth a listen. :) Follow Reina del Cid: Instagram: Facebook: Twitter: Sign up for our Mailing List: Website: Watch More Reina del Cid: Original Songs: Covers: Sunday Morning Sessions with Reina del Cid: Most Popular: Listen to Reina del Cid: Spotify: Apple Music: Amazon Music: del cid&ref=nb_sb_noss_2&tag=reinadelcid04-20 Tidal: Tour: Gear Used: - Mics: Shure SM81 () for guitars, Neumann U87 for vocals - Camera: Canon EOS R () - Lens: Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM () - Video Editing: Adobe Premiere (), Pro Tools () About Reina del Cid: Reina del Cid is a folk singer songwriter and leader of the eponymous folk rock band based in Los Angeles and Minnesota.
