Mass of Daddy Long Legs in a Tree

This cluster of daddy long legs (Opiliones) was found in a tree near a stream in Nogales Arizona. Answers to things people ask the most here: 1) The thing I use to make them fall is a stick I found on the ground nearby; 2) I think they behave like that for warmth (it was cold for Arizona) or protection (from creatures who don’t have flamethrowers); 3) While I did disturb their gathering, they reformed elsewhere on the ground near by a short time later, so no harm done (
