As promised, I finally managed to track down the first part of this documentary about American Blues. Starting with the story of a chance meeting between W.C. Handy and a lone blues player it covers the vaudeville shows, jug bands, female blues stars and the Delta Blues of musicians such as Blind Lemon Jefferson and Charlie Patton.
