Welcome back to “Neurodiverse Friends“ with Pixi & co.! In this episode, we’re exploring the world of trauma to understand the differences between PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and CPTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). PTSD often stems from a single traumatic event in the past, and when triggered, it causes a strong reaction in the mind and body. In contrast, CPTSD is connected to long-term trauma, often starting in childhood, and when triggered, it can feel like the traumatic episode just happened. With warmth, empathy, and a touch of visual comedy, our neurodiverse friends will help you better understand these conditions and how they influence daily life.
