Zimbabwe set to receive free grain as Russia sends cargo to African nations

After a stop in Beira, Mozambique, which serves as a gateway for shipments to the wider region, a free shipment of Russian grain is making its way to Zimbabwe. The delivery is part of a Russian program designed to avert a global food crisis. Following last year’s breakdown of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the free grain is being delivered to six African countries: Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Mali, Somalia, the Central African Republic, and Eritrea.
