Get in Astronaut, We’re Going Exploring

NASA will send the first woman and the first person of color to the lunar surface and establish a long-term presence at the Moon as part of Artemis. A lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) will enable Artemis astronauts to expand their exploration zone at the Moon’s South Pole. Built specifically for crew to use while wearing their spacesuits, astronauts using the LTV will explore farther and conduct more science experiments when on missions over 200,000 miles away from Earth.
