Great hippie tune from the Russ Meyer film Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. The movie can’t compete with Rocky Horror in the popularity arena, but this film destroys it in coolness. The only thing missing from Rocky Horror that could make it even more hokey is Jack Black. DePalma’s Phantom of the Paradise is another fantastic film that’s up there with Dolls. There’s 2 movies for you to enjoy right there. For movie coolness there ain’t nothing that comes close to these 2 films. At least nothing that I’ve ever seen, but I don’t rekkon I’ve seen them all yet.
