The solar term of Shuang Jiang (First Frost)

Frost Descent, implying the gradual cooling of the weather and the beginning of frost, is the eighteenth solar term in the twenty-four solar terms. Falling at the end of September (October 22nd, 23rd, or 24th in the Gregorian calendar), when the Dipper points to Xu, marking the moment when the sun reaches 210° of the Yellow River. It signifies the deepening of autumn, being the final solar term of the autumn season. Generally, at this time, most regions in China start to feel cooler and colder, with the scorching heat of summer completely dissipated. Along coastal areas, the typhoon season also comes to an end.
