Soviet Energia Buran T - An Orbiter Film by Timm Humphreys

A simulation of the launch of the Skylink Satellite by the Soviet Union’s proposed Buran-T(ug) cargo variant. The space tug was simply a small booster rocket similar to the booster system (Payload Assist Module or PAM) employed by American satellite deployments from space shuttle cargo bays. Although never built, due to the cancellation of the Energia Buran project after the fall of the Soviet Union, it would have provided heavy lift capabilities for orbiting large payloads, like the Skylink satellite. Thanks to Yuri Kulchitsky and Vadim Lukashevitch for the Energia add-on, and as always, thanks to all the other talented Orbiter add-on developers and special thanks to Dr. Martin Schweiger for Orbiter. Since 2002 your beautiful creations have made my spaceflight dreams come true.
