Operation Iron Duke (1968)

Unissued / Unused material - Salisbury Plain, Hampshire. British army manoeuvres feature lots of new types of weapons. LS Tanks moving across countryside during exercises. VS Soldiers using anti-tank gun like a bazooka. VS Soldiers in the field during exercises, they jump in and out of trenches, one CU of soldier with Sterling machine gun. VS Injured man being loaded onto stretcher and given first aid. VS Soldiers manning Wombat gun mounted on vehicle. VS Military attaches from various countries watching the exercise and chatting to soldiers and officers. Among the attaches are Major General Nemtchenko of Russia. VS The attaches arriving on the scene by RAF helicopter. The group of high ranking officers are briefed about the exercise. Captain HRH Prince Michael of Kent is on hand to greet them.
