Georgia is accused of a pivot to Russia as MPs have a punch up over the incoming Foreign Agents Law

Georgia is accused of a “pivot to Russia“ as MPs have a punch up over the incoming Foreign Agents Law. The ruling party is pushing through the law that will require all companies who receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as foreign agents. (Opposition MPs & the Georgian president don’t want that - but she can be overriden by Parliament...) That is, Georgia intends to clean up some 35,000 grant sucking companies. This would actually highlight who is driving anti-Russian sentiment, possibly & gradually normalizing relations with Russian business, bringing back large-scale investments in the Black Sea. ? But the E.U says the law is undemocratic. Source: Inessa S ️️
