On September 22, 1988, the best-of album “Gold“ was released, and for the next few months, until the end of the year, the music video for Fools Cry was promoted in discotheques and also aired on German music shows such as “Formel Eins“. The music video was shot in London, directed by Terry Flaxton and produced by Triplevision. The melody of Fools Cry was composed by Charlie Glass, a longtime friend of Fancy, and the lyrics were written by Sabrina Lorenz. Fancy produced the song.
