Protests intensify As German Farmers Reject Government Compromise

Intensifying German protests have now spread beyond farmers to include other citizens. The German government’s proposed budget compromise, which aimed to retain an exemption from car tax for farming vehicles and stagger planned cuts to diesel subsidies, was rejected by the German Farmers Association. They demand a complete reversal of both proposals.
