♦ Vivienne Westwood | Autumn/Winter 1993-1994: “Anglomania“ ♦

For her famous Autumn/Winter 1993-1994 collection entitled “Anglomania,“ British designer, grande dame, & one-time Punk Rocker, Vivienne Westwood, created her own tartan: “MacAndreas“ (The Scottish Register of Tartans, Ref. No. 7489). The tartan was woven by Lochcarron of Scotland & named after Vivienne’s husband, Andreas Kronthaler. Supported by a cast of all the top models of the time, this now-vintage & seminal collection, the second in a series that spanned from 1993 to 1999 (the first being “Grand Hotel“ for Spring/Summer 1993, which preceded “Anglomania“ by a season), is Vivienne Westwood at her best.
