Jolly Old St. Nicholas (1994 Perennial Pictures Christmas Special)

At last, I finally got a digital form of this Christmas special I remember years ago. Jolly Old. St. Nicholas was a 1994 Christmas special created by Perennial Pictures. It originally aired on Freeform when it used to be the Family Channel and Fox Family until after Disney bought the network. Perennial Pictures is a animation company in Indiana, which was formed in 1979 by G. Brian Reynolds. The company was known for creating seasonal specials during the 1980s and 1990s. The only other thing I know about them was their Easter special “The First Easter Egg“, which one of the characters in this Christmas special appeared as a small cameo. In fact, the main characters from this Christmas special originally appeared in a series of preschool shorts in the 1980’s called “Scuddle Mutt“. What happened to the company? The last active thing they worked on was as series of shorts called “Crawford the Cat“, which is one of the few projects they released on DVD. They also worked with Renegade Animations for the Mr. Men Show. I remember this one a lot as this aired during when I recorded the Storytime with Thomas tape my friend Carty converted last year. I didn’t remember it a whole lot, other what was recorded and the ending which I still remembered. It was released on Amazon digitally years ago when I tried out Amazon Prime, but sadly was removed later. The only way to watch it is either on tape, or on DVD which in only in the UK. I got this from the DVD version, but the problem is that it suffers a bit of interlaced because it was NTSC, but converted to PAL when brought over there. I really hope this gets released here in its home country. I just wanted to share this no one bothered uploading this. I’m not sure why, but I wanted to give some attention in case the studio wants to release it on DVD.
