Monstrous scenes of chaos in China! A powerful tornado hit Jiangsu province!

China continues to suffer from extreme weather events. The country has seen record rainfall and weeks of historic heat this summer. Following floods in Beijing and Hong Kong, a powerful tornado struck Jiangsu province on September 19. The tornado caused chaos on its path from Suqian to Yancheng. State media reported that 1,800 homes were damaged or destroyed. Overturned cars, downed power lines, downed trees and torn off roofs. Strong winds and heavy rain also destroyed crops. At least five people were reported dead. Several people were injured. Rescue and repair work is currently ongoing in the affected areas.
