CT SCAN test with ratemeter dosimeter, Surview and Helical scan

Here is the video of measuring dose rate in CT scanner room during a regular medical examination. The distance between the CT scanner and me was about 2 meter. The examination consists of SURVIEW and HELICAL scan. The first - SURVIEW scan – is same as regular 2D x-ray photo of the body that required for the operator and the CT software to calculate the optimum 3D scanning process for the inspected area. The second - HELICAL scan - is the actual 3D scanning process of the body where the patient gets large amount of x-ray radiation. You can compare absorbed mGy dose of the SURVIEW and HELICAL scan in the dose report in the beginning of the video. Since the radiation weighting factor for x-rays is =1, for CT scans, the absorbed dose in mGy equals the equivalent dose in mSv. Regarding to the report we can know the patient received mSv equivalent dose during this examination. That twice bigger than average annual dose from natural sources, but dose is not dangerous because i
