“The Accident“ Don’t watch if you don’t want to cry!

Panic sets in as she realizes that something is seriously wrong. A nurse calms and soothes her, trying to get her to relax as she runs some basic tests. When the patient can’t feel anything, she again starts to panic and cry. The nurse again calms and soothes her, explaining that for now it appears she is paralyzed from the neck down, a complete quadriplegic. The nurse does caution her that it is early in her recovery, and that a final diagnosis will have to wait. The nurse leaves the patient to cry to herself as her new reality sets in.
