How I (may have accidentally) Killed the Dreamcast (24th Anniversary Apology)

On Sega Dreamcast’s 24th Anniversary, I revisit my involvement in what may have led to its ultimate demise. You see I was deep in the trenches of retail in 1997-1998 helping to spread the word about Sega’s new system. Wound up getting a job at one of the largest US retailers and getting the Dreamcast out for rental on 6/15/99, nearly two months before the official launch. Yep! I was a real champion for the system back then... This is why it bothers me so much to say I likely had a key in its inevitable downfall and demise.
