NIGHT IN GALES - Transition To Doom (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

taken from “The Black Stream“, 2023 Available here: Mix & Master by Dan Swanö Guest Vocals on “Transition To Doom“: Tomasz Wisniewsk (Nyktophobia) When darkness reaches out for your innermost emotions, you have to focus all your energy to escape “The Black Stream”. The year is 1995 and all great melodic death metal tunes came from Sweden. Well, not entirely… A band from North Rhine-Westphalia was able to shake the metal underground – to this day. And their story continues: NIGHT IN GALES are ready to unveil their new album “The Black Stream” on 29 September 2023 via Apostasy Records. “The Black Stream” continues to walk the path they set out on with “The Last Sunsets” but the band also adds some new flavors here and there. ‘Tears Of Blood’ starts with a disconcerting, machine-like intro that leads into a melodic death metal masterpiece that shows the five-piece taking cover during the verses just to fully attack during the chorus. While ‘Final Place’ and ‘The Eternal Fall’ manage to keep the up-tempo mode switched on and even add an anthemic middle-section for the second-mentioned song, the title track starts like a ballad before it explodes into pure frenzy all of a sudden. The darkened mood at the beginning of ‘The Consciousless’ evokes memories of black metal and ‘Return To Chaos’ features some classy thrash-riffs that are ready to start a pit right away. But the biggest surprise might be the semi-clean vocals during ‘Laughter Of Madness’ that allows the song to live up to its name even more. NIGHT IN GALES once again worked with Dan Swanö (this man needs no introduction) who added the perfect sound to all 11 tracks with his mix and master. The artwork was also done by a well-known name in the worldwide metal-scene and also in the world of NIGHT IN GALES - Costin Chioreanu – who outdid himself once again.
