What are the fastest cars to brave the mountain passes of Japan in real life? Today we find out! - Top 10 Fastest Cars on the Touge I really enjoyed making a video on the Story of Time Attack and Under Suzuki ( and the supportive comments it received got me thinking of what else I could look at - so this time I wanted to move away from the track and look the fastest cars for carving mountain roads, or touges as they’re known in Japan. This form of illegal racing was highlighted in the anime/manga Initial D. I really enjoyed the show, but it always made me wonder which car really would be the fastest in real life. Best Motoring’s Hot Version has given us some great insight into what makes a Touge Monster of the years (or Maou as the called the top dog) and this list represents the research (binge watching) I did on their videos to try to compare the fastest sector times. There are still a lot of what ifs and cars that haven’t had a chance or didn’t want to risk it, but I found it really interesting what cars excelled on the winding downhill roads.
