Long Line Rider is a self penned Bobby Darin tune off his first independent released lp titled “Bobby Darin Born Walden Robert Cassotto on his Direction Records label. Long Line Riders were armed guards who rode on horseback in the Arkansas prison system, in field production If inmates escaped, Long Line Riders would track them down and capture them. In January of 1968 skeletons of three prisoners were discovered at Cummins Prison Farm
