PMQs: Sunak ’too weak’ to stand up to bullies in his party, Starmer claims

Rishi Sunak has said he “obviously regrets” appointing Sir Gavin Williamson to his cabinet after the South Staffordshire MP resigned over allegations he bullied his colleagues. “I obviously regret appointing someone who has had to resign in these circumstances,” the prime minister said in response to a question from Labour leader Keir Starmer at PMQs. Earlier, a cabinet minister defended Mr Sunak’s decision to hire Sir Gavin and described the PM’s judgement as “fabulous”.
