Various shots at a Battle Drill School, where we see trainee officers and NCOs (Non Commissioned Officers) in training. They line up on the parade ground; natural sound as an instructor barks at them about the training they are about to undergo. They run off in their squadrons and we see various shots of them running across fields, under the attack of Blenheim bombers flying overhead. The men use radio sets, field guns and rifles. We then see them going through a tough assault course, climbing under bridges, walking through muddy rivers, climbing up steep banks, falling into camouflaged pits, getting hit on the shoulder by a sandbag on a rope, climbing over barbed wire, walking over rivers on thin wires, getting into dinghies and crossing a wide river, then firing at plywood targets (natural sound throughout this section).
