Tie-dye pattern - Wig-Wag T-Shirt Tutorial (Liquid Dye) project instructions. 1. T-Shirt has been washed and soaked in soda ash (1 cup soda ash per 1 gallon of warm water) for 20 minutes then spun out in the washer so the material is damp but not dripping wet. 2. Fold t-shirt in half making sure to smooth out and remove as many creases as possible. Now with a washable marker tied to piece of string (I just used sinew) draw on your wig-wag design following the video instructions. 3. Pleat fold your wig-wag lines and the rest of the shirt following the video instructions and secure with rubber bands. 4. Choose your dye colors. For my tie-dye wig-wag t-shirt I chose Power Berry, Concord Grape, Lavender, Wisteria, Hot Hibiscus, Deep Orange, Deep Yellow, and Bright Yellow.
