Germany: Ende Gelande activists block railroad tracks to disrupt fossil fuel ops in Brunsbuttel

Subscribe to our channel! Activists from the Ende Gelande (German for ’here and no further’) movement blocked the railway tracks leading to ChemCoast park, near Brunsbuttel in Schleswig-Holstein on Friday, as they protested against a planned fracking gas terminal in the area. Demonstrators, split into different groups, left their base in Brunsbuttel and marched towards the plant on different sides of the Kiel canal, where they occupied the rails which deliver fossil raw materials to oil and chemical industries based in the area. At one point, activists scuffled with police forces.
