The Sovereign Aka Sail Making (1963)

Southampton, Hampshire. L/S inside a workshop, a group of men unfold a big sail, M/S as one of them ties it to some string running through a ladder. M/S as the sail is securely attached. L/S of the sail tied across the length of the room. M/S of a man sewing the luff wire to the edge, various shots as he does this. M/S of a woman pinning numbers to a blue and red sail, C/U as she pins the number 9 on, C/U of her face, M/S as she uses a machine to stitch the numbers on. M/S of two boys working, C/U of a boy hammering an eyelet into place on the sail. M/S of the other boy sewing the sail, he puts it on the floor and pushes a wooden pole through the eyelet, M/S as he puts a metal ring in it and hammers it into place. L/S from above of a red section of material being rolled out, various shots of the man rolling it and cutting it with scissors.
